kuhn-labs / blog is a personal technical blog by Nick Kuhn. It publishes field notes about platform engineering, Cloud Foundry, Tanzu, BOSH, GenAI tiles, and homelab infrastructure.
What this site collects
This site is static HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, RSS, and supporting metadata. It does not run comments, user accounts, payments, newsletter signup forms, or first-party data-entry forms.
Analytics
This site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics for basic blog measurement: page views, search terms entered into the site search box, no-result searches, outbound link clicks, RSS clicks, post-card clicks, and article read-depth milestones. These events help understand which posts are useful and where the site can be improved.
The site may also send the same first-party blog events to a self-hosted kuhn-labs metrics endpoint. That collector stores event names, page paths, timestamps, referrers, anonymous browser/session IDs, and hashed request metadata for aggregate reporting. It is intended for blog operations and content performance, not advertising profiles.
Analytics providers may process ordinary browser and request metadata such as page URL, referrer, approximate location, browser, device type, and timestamp according to their own policies.
Operational logs
The hosting platform, DNS provider, CDN, browser, and network operators may process ordinary web request data such as IP address, user agent, URL, timestamp, and referrer for security, routing, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
